I see so many movies that I thought I’d do a short review with a rating for each one.

**(A)=Makes my short list, (B)=Not Awesome, but has redeeming qualities, (C)=Just OK, (D)=Don’t waste the money***

(B) The Hangover:
This movie has short bursts of raunchy comedy. If you liked movies of the Dumb and Dumber genre, you will like this movie. (Stay for the ending credits)
(B) Up:
The movie has a cute story that makes you smile.
(C) Night at the Museum 2:
Brings back all of the old characters, but as is the case with most sequels, doesn’t quite match up to the original.
(D) Land of the Lost:
A bit slow moving. Once it gets started, you keep waiting for something good to happen. When it’s over, you’re still waiting.
(B) Imagine That:
A cute movie that follows the standard recipe: Father ignores daughter, realizes he needs her in his life, acts like a fool and wins her back.
(B) Star Trek:
A pretty good update. Gives look at everyone before they joined Star Fleet with some background on both Spock and Kirk.
(B-) Angels and Demons:
Good movie sequel to DaVinci code. If you didn’t like The DaVinci code or were offended by it, do not see this movie. This sequel takes on the Vatican, and corruption on the inside.
(A) The Proposal:
Saw a special screening of this one, and it was well worth it! Sustained laughter throughout, with everyone leaving the theater with smiles on their faces.

Today while I was out shopping, my husband setup my room. It was his birthday/anniversary present to me. He also setup this website (see post below). I spent all day in there browsing the net, playing guitar hero, and watching TV. It’s my own little sanctuary.

MindyArt.com just got upgraded!!!

This is Rick (Mindy’s husband). I made this site for my beautiful wife for our anniversary. We’ve been married five years now. For close to ten years I’ve watched Mindy paint. She drags her art supplies down to the living room and makes a complete mess. The reason she drags it all downstairs into the living room is because that’s where the TV is. She likes to have the TV on while she paints. Not really to watch, but as background noise.

You know how some people can’t multi-task? Well, Mindy can’t single-task. If She doesn’t have at least two things to do at once, she’s bored. This makes my job of making her happy very difficult.

So, this year for our anniversary / her birthday (along with going on a trip) I’m setting up her art room proper. I’m stealing the couch from my study and putting it in her room (it’s leather, better for painting accidents). Then I’m buying a stand to put in her room to mount at 32 inch flat panel TV. To that TV I’m attaching a shuttle PC that I made for her (So she can browse the net, watch downloaded movies, etc). It will also have an Xbox 360 (Mindy loves guitar hero) as well as a set top box connected to it. (She’s gotta watch, House, Chuck, America’s Next Top Model, Project Runway, Bones, etc.) I’m also setting up the printer in her room so that she can print out inspiration she finds on the net.

I love my wife very much and I want her to know that I think her work is awesome and I support it.

Mindy is my everything and I hope she likes this new setup.
